Frequently asked questions
Is Tejas Khata Book GST billing software?
Yes. It creates GST invoices with the CGST/SGST split, HSN code and rate per item, financial-year invoice numbers, round-off and amount in words, and gives you a GST report you can export to Excel or CSV. Please confirm tax rates and filing with your own CA.
How much does it cost?
₹300 per month or ₹3,000 per year (festival offer till 15 Nov; regular ₹500/month or ₹5,000/year), with a 7-day free trial. There is no per-invoice charge.
Can I track udhaar (credit) and send reminders?
Yes. Every credit sale keeps a due amount against the customer. You can record part payments and, with one tap, open a WhatsApp reminder with the amount and a UPI QR/link. The message opens in your own WhatsApp and you press send; nothing is sent behind your back.
Does it work without internet?
The app shell loads offline and billing keeps working when the connection drops; it syncs when you are back online. Reports and WhatsApp still need internet.
Which shops can use it?
Kirana and general stores, pharmacies (expiry tracking), clothing, electronics, jewellery, salons, restaurants, travel agents and taxi operators, or any small shop with a counter. The fields adapt to the business type you choose.
Can my staff use it with limited access?
Yes. Each staff member gets a PIN and a role (cashier, stock or manager) with individual permissions, so a cashier can bill but cannot see reports or change GST settings.
Is my data safe and can I take it out?
Your data is stored on servers in India with a separate login per shop and regular backups. You can export your data to Excel/CSV at any time. See our Privacy Policy and Terms for details.
